Just Stuff!!!
I have neglected this blog for the last few weeks, being as busy as a Bee!! I made matching aprons for a very sweet lady and her 2 year old daughter!! Friends of my daughter!! Here is a picture!! I almost wish I had made them for my daughter and her new to be baby daughter. I do however have lots of time to do something special for them as well.
I missed out on the last swap for 2011, not really having any available time to jump in and get overwhelmed!! Looks like it was a great swap!! I have spent the last hour trying to get this post done, but the phone just keeps me busy!! Joe yelled upstairs to me to get off sometime soon, so he could make a call. I was talking to my Mother...It didn't set well with her!!
My neighbors and I are going to Downtown Chicago for a seasonal drink at the Signature Room on the 95th Floor of the John Hancock Building, then off to the Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinders Company for Dinner. I am the designated driver, so pop for me!!! Signing off to go and get dressed...Later!!!
Oh yes... Merry Christmas to All!!!

Just Too Busy!!
Is everyone as busy as me? I just don't have enough hours in the day to finish what I need to get done. I am having a cookie exchange next Wednesday. I have to bake 8 dozen cookies that look like they took forever to make, and enough house work to last until x-mas. I probably won't get any sleep for the next week. I need a maid...
This past Tuesday, Joe and I drove to Milwaukee to babysit Little Joseph!!! Yeah!! Traffic was horrible, but is managed knowing we would soon be holding this little bundle of joy. Joseph is the perfect baby... Eats well and sleeps alot. I could hold him all day...I probably would if he was my son.
This past Monday evening was the Opening of my Christmas Tree display called the "Festival of Lights", for the Lansing Historical Society. 45 students from the Memorial Junior High School Choir sang songs while little visitors sat on Santa's lap. There were 22 trees decorated by volunteers, representing 22 different Countries, local clubs and organizations. I have been blessed during my time as Curator of this Museum with lots of help from voluneers! They are the backbone to my success! Thank you to all of you!!...You know who you are!! Just too many to list!!
Okay, it is time to clean my house. Pick up clutter and get my act together!!
Talk to you all later!!!!!!

Memory quilt
My recent projects are the construction of memory quilts! This one was auctioned off last Friday, and was sold to the highest bidder at $265.00 . That made me feel really good! All the proceeds went to St. John's Lutheran School and Church.
I am working on another memory quilt, and it will end up being quite elaborate. It is for the first 5 years life of a little girl named Chloe. I haven't taken any pictures of it yet, but I will soon!! Sewing is my life!! I sew every day, and I feel lucky to have so many projects!!

Clearing out my blog!!
I tried to adjust the layout of my blog site and messed it all up. I have cleared all post before September 2011 so I can start over. I will get the hang of blogging eventually.
Joe and I are heading up to Milwaukee this morning to see our new Grandson, Joseph Amadeo. I was there yesterday, and can't wait to see him again! Yeah!!! He is so tiny...only 18 1/2 inches long.

Time to get blogging!!
Wow, it has been a while since I posted...Shame on me!!
I had 4 evergreens cut down this summer! They were so overgrown, my house # could not be seen from the street!! Now that the trees are down, I love the way my house looks, but I can't spend any time in the living room after 2:00pm...The room is like a hot box. Unbelievable!!
So what have I been doing this summer...lets see...I made two purple jackets for a Minister and his wife for their 7th anniversary of the Church they founded. Pastor Jeffrey has asked me to make another jacket, this one black for a Wedding he is officiating at, on the 24th!! I can't start that until the 19th, because I am busy getting ready for a Baby Shower that my daughter and I are hosting for my daughter-in-law and son, Jessica and Peter!! That is on the 18th!! I have been working on a Sweets Table that will be the dessert! I have finished Chocolate covered cherries, and the famous Buckeyes, which are peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate. I still have mini cream puffs with vanilla pudding in the center, nut cups, mini carrot cake muffins, raspberry bars, and brownies to go. This little bundle of joy is due on Halloween!!! A friend of mine and fellow apron swapper, made one of the party favors that I am giving to everyone that comes to the shower! Check out her blog at: Sewmuch2luv.blogspot.com
I finished the re-upholstering of my Wingback chair and couch today! Wow does that feel good getting that done!! It has been so hot here in Illinois, that not much work got done in my gardens! I did a poor job keeping up with the weeding. I have however made a point of edging my grass each time the lawn was mowed.
I have participated in several apron swaps this year, and am still waiting on receiving the last one...should have been here a long time ago. I made a memory quilt for my niece out of her sports T-shirts to take to college!! Wish I had taken a picture of that one...it turned out so good! I will be making another one for her sister when things settle down a little.
