I, jennifer robin promise to be more active on this blog!! It has been what seems like forever since I posted anything on this blog. Not that I haven't been working on any project, because I never stop working on projects!! Some of my most recent completed items are:

These three quilts were started and finished this past week.  I only pieced the quilts, not the embroidery. That was done by my friend Joann for two of her Great Grandchildren. She does beautiful work!!

Today I machine embroidered a wall hanging for my dentist/periodontist. He looks like Prince Harry if you can imagine. The wall hanging asks the question: Have you hugged your dentist today?

I am giving it to him in 2 weeks when he finishes up my implants. I will post a picture of it after I buy the frame. Maybe in a couple of days!!

I am finished sewing today, and will soon be off to watch my Grandson Tony play his violin in a duet with a violist in a talent show tonight.  Life is so exciting. Just glad to be alive!!

My most recent sewing project!! The cushion measures 60 inches x 17 1/4 inches x 3 inches

I have added 6 tufted buttons! 3 on each side. Sorry, no picture with the buttons!!

The cushion's new home is in Minneapolis!!

Wow, I can't believe it has been so long since I wrote on my blog! I have been very busy, but that is no excuse!! Here is what I have been working on, and finished!! The first picture is a Memory Quilt for Andrew Zajac, a Fire fighter who lost his life a couple weeks ago in Washington State. His parents and brother live in the Chicago Area. I made this quilt to give to his brother William.

Gingham Apron for my Sew Along!!

My apron has been finished for a while, but it is Prom Season, and I have been sewing a whole bunch!! Yesterday my town had their annual Good Neighbor Day Parade, and for all of my free time for the last two weeks, I have been working on the float. So here is the picture that I downloaded just a few minutes ago from my camera!!

I am going to take part in a Gingham Apron sew along!! Doesn't that sound like fun!! My fabric is black and white Gingham, with cherry stems all over it!!

I haven't decided on the apron style yet, but stay tuned!!

The Beginnings of 2015!!

So it is 2015, time to start anew in creating garments for my grandkids and aprons for the swaps I hope to participate in, and work diligently on the felt ornaments I am making!! 

Dieting, or should I say a life style change in the way I look at food is in order, with shedding about 50 lbs, being on the agenda. Hoping to loose about 1 - 2 lbs a week. I am keeping a journal on all the food I am consuming, hoping that will help me. 

Running off to my Grandkids last Basketball games this morning, and then getting started on those ornaments I mentioned. I will take pictures of my progress, hoping they will turn out really nice.

There is also a Hungarian Doll that I would like to copy if I can do it!! A Little Red Riding Hood/Grandma/Big Bad Wolf Doll. This project will be very challenging!! Something I can do if I am not continuously being interrupted...  We will see!!

2014 Swaps for Christmas and other gifts!!

So I sent my Surprise Scarf and Ornament package out last Friday! It should have been received Yesterday!! Here is what it looked like!

It is a Harley Davidson Shirt Quilt for the husband of a waitress at Old Country Buffet!!

 

Now I am working on a quilt for a friend's son. I need to finish it for Christmas. Busy, busy, busy!!!

 

One week before Thanksgiving!! Gooble, Gooble!!

I just signed up for another swap!! Yeah!! It has been too long ladies. "Scarfs and Ornaments" just perfect for this time of year.

I haven't been on my Blog Site since, well let me see, it must have been back in February of this year. Now that was a long time ago. I sort of lost interest since there was little post of pictures on that last swap. Sure hope things have changed since then.

I have a pretty good idea of what I will add to this swap, but will have to wait until my swap partner has been assigned!! Oh boy, I can't wait!! Let's get this swap in action mode!! Do I sound excited or what! I can't wait to sew, shop, wrap and ship!!

So happy Mary Lea got her surprise apron package. I could actually feel her excitement through the computer screen!! These swaps are so much fun! I am a happy camper, yes I am. Today Joe and I invited the kids and grandbabies, ages 6 years down to 4 weeks old, over for Kentucky Fried Chicken. It is going to be a glorious day.
