I have finished this years Secret Santa Swap Apron!! Yeah!!

I am glad to be done with this years swap! I am finding that very few swappers are posting sneak peaks or posting comments! Are they really too busy? Hummm...

Subject: Relaxation Technique

1. Picture yourself lying on your belly on a warm rock that hangs out over a crystal clear stream.
2. Picture yourself with both your hands dangling in the cool running water.
3. Birds are sweetly singing in the cool mountain air.
4. No one knows your secret place.
5. You are in total seclusion from that hectic place called the world.
6. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.
7. The water is so clear that you can make out the face of the Congressman you are holding underwater.

See it worked. You're smiling. You feel better already.

My friend Walter sent this to me!! He seems to know me better than most! I've known him for the better part of 50+ years! Wish he lived closer!

Thanks buddy boy! Love you...

These family members are who I live for every single day! Love you all!!

“You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth.”

― William W. Purkey

Time to Swap and other things!!

It's Secret Santa Swap Time!! I am so ready for this. I have some great ideas for my swap partner, whoever you are! LOL!!

I have been sew busy this past summer, right up until now. I am ashamed to say I have neglected my blog and really need to take the time to blog daily, like my daughter does writing in her journal. These actions clear your mind and allows you to move on to your next project. On the 25th of October, I am going to Ohio to re-upholster my Mother's lift chair. Hoping it will only take three days. That is all the time I have for this trip. NO SLEEPING!!

Next Monday I am in charge of a luncheon being sponsored by The Lansing Historical Society, for LARC. LARC trains and cares for adult mentally and physically challenged residents in Lansing. This is the 3rd lunch I have planned for them over the last 6 years. Lots of fun to be had! My husband Joe will be the entertainment with his "magical fingers" on the piano. Several volunteers of which I will be most indebted to will be on hand setting up tables, chairs and serving food they helped prepare! Thank you ever so much to all of you!!

Yeah!! I have finished all 12 of the bridesmaid skirts and the 4 flowergirl dresses!! Wondering if I have learned my lesson to not take on so much during the summer!! Summer came and went and I only spent 2 days outside. What a waste.

I have finished the embroidering part of the quilting project I am doing for The Granite Mountain Hotshots who lost their lives on June 30th in Prescott, AZ. The pictures of this are still in my camera, and I would prefer not to post them until I am finished with it!! SORRY!! Today I hope to mail my Favorite Things Swap! Almost complete...

Finally I have uploaded the pictures of everything I have been doing this summer!! So here goes...

As I wait to be assigned a swap partner, I have been sewing Traditional East Indian Bridesmaid Skirts. There are 14 of them. I have finished 12. The skirts have been picked up so the skirts could be mailed all over the world. I also have 4 flowergirl dresses to make that have vertical ruffles on them. The dresses take longer to make than the skirts.

I just signed up for Shawnee's Favorite Things Swap. I am so excited!! It has been too long since the last swap!!

I wonder who my partner will be this time around!! Someone fun I am sure!!

Have to go back to my sewing now, I am making fourteen Indian Wedding Bridesmaid Skirts and four flowergirls with lengthwise ruffles down the skirts!! Very tedious, but beautiful.

I will post pictures soon!
